Nala Tracker

Roadmap

The people paying for Nala Tracker decide what we build next. Some things are not up for a vote, and we would rather say so now, before there is anyone to vote.

Who decides what

Subscribers set the priority. Two months after the app is released, we will publish a short list of things we are genuinely willing to build and look after for years, and subscribers will rank them. We build in that order.

We own scope, design and safety — including the decision to say no. Every feature we ship is one we support for as long as the app exists, at $1 a month, so the list stays short. You tell us what matters most; we decide how it works and whether it belongs in the app at all.

Results are public, including the noes. What won, what is being built, and what we have decided not to build and why will all be on this page.

Voting is for subscribers only. Anyone can send us an idea, and every message is read: Settings → Send feedback in the app, or support@nalatracker.app. Ideas are what the shortlist is built from; they are not the ballot itself.

Not on the ballot

These are promises, not features. No vote can remove them, and we will not trade them for growth.

  • No ads. Ever. Not in the app, not on this site, not as “partners”.
  • No tiers. No free tier, no premium tier, no add-ons. Every subscriber gets everything.
  • No dark patterns. Honest prices, honest trials, and cancelling is one tap to Apple’s own screen.
  • Your weight never goes to an analytics company. Not anonymised, not aggregated, not at all.
  • It works offline. Logging never waits for the network.
  • You can always leave. Export everything, and delete your account from inside the app.

Now

Finishing and releasing the first version on iPhone: logging, the trend chart and its five numbers, your history, goals, a daily reminder, Nala, export and account deletion.

Candidates for the first shortlist

Nothing has been voted on yet — there are no subscribers to vote. These are the ideas we already know we would be willing to build. The real list will be shaped by what you send us.

  • Apple Health sync. Readings from a smart scale arrive by themselves.
  • A home-screen widget. Your trend at a glance, without opening the app.
  • Android. With a way to move your history across from iPhone.

Results

No votes yet. The first round opens two months after release, inside the app, and the results — with how many people voted — will appear here.

What we will not build

  • Calorie counting, food logging and macros. Other apps do this. We do one thing: show you whether you are really moving.
  • BMI. A poor measure for any one person, and a verdict about bodies we do not want to give.
  • AI-written messages from Nala. Every line Nala says is written and checked by a person, under safety rules. That will not change.
